Healthy soup for a weekend binge


One of my favourite feel-good dishes would be a bowl of healthy, colourful soup. The base of the soup would never go wrong with pork bones. Pork bones, boiled long enough to become a broth, provides a sweet and tasty soup base for almost any type of soup.

Then, it is the ingredients you want to put into the soup. Again, you cannot go wrong with green leafy vegetables, carrots, mushrooms and tofu. It is always advisable to choose raw ingredients rather than processed items such as packaged fishballs, for instance.

This time around, I was hardworking enough to fry out shallots to add flavouring to my up-coming homemade dishes.


The addition of these fried shallots definitely add aroma and a nice bite to the bowl of hot soup. It is amazing how just a bowl of simple homemade healthy soup can make your tummy full and nourish your body with great nutrients. You don't have to feel guilty bingeing over this kind of healthy soup, that's for sure!
