Greens and protein all in one

Weeknight dishes may be a chore for some as some find that preparing, cooking and cleaning up dishes take way longer time, outweighing the actual consumption duration.

That said, it should not be an excuse not to cook wholesome dishes. Takeouts or instant meals contain too much processed food and they are also high in sugar. Sugar is the culprit to not only weight gain, but also skin issues such as acne.

A simple recipe idea can be combining your greens and proteins into one dish. For example, baby kailan can be stir-fried with minced pork, giving you a two-in-one dish which is wholly satisfying and fulfil all the macronutrients you need.

Instead of having a dish of vegetable and another meat dish, you can always do this kind of combo dishes to save time and effort, especially when you're cooking for one or two persons. It is fast and easy for weeknights and also lazy weekends.

The next time you're tempted to get a takeout, remember that you can always cook something up with the food in your fridge to accomplish a balanced diet.
